Scope
Finmon is a financial education app (web beta, DE and EN). In the beta there are no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no payments. Progress and related data stay functionally in the browser (localStorage).
Hosting
The site is hosted on Replit (Autoscale). Requests may run through Google Frontend.
Cookies (HTTP)
GAESA (path /, about 30 days): hosting and session-affinity cookie (Google Frontend / Replit Autoscale). Used for technical delivery. Not a marketing cookie.
The app itself does not write its own document.cookie values.
Local storage (localStorage, functional)
Your browser may hold keys such as:
- finmon.local.v1 (progress and local app data)
- finmon.local.recovery.v1 (recovery)
- finmon.news.v1 (news-related, local)
- finmon.notice.v1 (only that this notice was closed, value seen)
- folumi.* (legacy reads, if still present)
This storage is functional for the beta. It is not marketing tracking.
Tracking and marketing analytics
Finmon does not set marketing trackers such as gtag, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Plausible, or Mixpanel. There are no marketing analytics cookies from the app.
News content
News explainers are delivered as static content.
No accounts in the beta
No user accounts are created. There is no cloud sync and no payment processing in unpaid beta v1.
Purpose and legal basis (short)
Providing the website and technical stability (hosting, GAESA): legitimate interest and/or performance of the online service, as applicable.
Functional localStorage data: required for the local beta operation you choose (progress, recovery, local news state).
Counsel may refine legal bases if needed. No invented purposes.
Retention
GAESA: about 30 days (cookie lifetime), if set.
localStorage: until you clear browser data or use Finmon export/delete controls on the Trust surface, where available.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for Berlin, among others, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).

Sharing
Personal data is not sold for marketing. Hosting processors (Replit / Google Frontend) process technical data to deliver the site.
